Following our aggressive agitation and our state C.M’s extended support
on our genuine demands, we got a call from the central health ministry following human chain on September 7th evening, for a negotiation with central health minister on September 8th in Chennai.
The talk with the central health minister Dr.Anbumani Ramadass, started by 5`pm on September 8th and last until 7.30 pm. Where 45 representatives of 14 medical colleges attended in the T.B sanitorium at Chennai.
During the negotiation, we shared our problems on bringing this compulsory rural service. Central health minister considered our demands and assured that he will form a high level committee to form changes in the rural service i.e., bringing it with in 5 ½ yrs itself and without interrupting the permanent job. So, we decided to stop our protest in view of Union Health Minister’s assurance.
