DOCTORS’ ASSOCIATION GENERAL BODY MEETING TO BE HELD IN CHENNAI ON COMMING SUNDAY
DOCTORS’ ASSOCIATION GENERAL BODY MEETING TO BE HELD IN CHENNAI ON COMMING SUNDAY
Regarding this Dr.G.R.Ravindranath General secretary DASE has issued the following Press statement.
Doctors’ Association For Social Equality’s General Body Meeting will be held on comming Sunday(30.12.07) at 3.00 PM at J J Assembly Hall,107 ,Pantheon Road (opposite to Museum) Egmore,Chennai.DASE state president Dr.D.Aram will preside over the meeting.Doctors and medical students representative across the state will attend . General Secretary Dr.G.R.Ravindranath,secretaries Doctors R.Sundar,P.Dorai,SRajan vice presidents doctors Aravindan, P.Muthukumar,Arulnambi Treasurer Dr.T.Mohan will also participate.
Important decisions will be taken against central Governments’ anti people –anti doctor Health policies like privatisation of government hospitals, privatisation of medical education,levying user charges in government hospitals,curtailing the rights of MCI,increasing the M,B;B,S course duration from 5 and half years to 6 and half years,and abolishig more than 30 thousand doctors’ permanent job opportunities in the name of contraversial compulsory rural service.
Resolutions will be passed to urge the state government to regularize the temporary doctors and the PG doctors working on compulsory basis,to eliminate the break system prevaling in medical education, and to allow the doctors who joined on contractual basis to pursue PG courses under government quota.
International conference of International Physcians for the prevention of nuclear , a receipient of Nobel Peace prize would be held in Delhi during the 2nd week of comming March.Doctors and medical students from more than 65 countries would participate.Tamil nadu delegates for that conference would be elected in this General Body meeting.
