Dr.Dhanapal from Madhukur,Tanjore dt and Dr.Ashok kumar ,from Mannarkudi Health unit district were assualted and threatened of dire consequences by antisocial elements last week.

Condemning the heinous incidents and urging the Tamilnadu govt to pass an urgent law to protect the life and properties of doctors ,similar to that of Andrapradesh. (The govt of AP recently passed an ordinance to protect doctors and hospitals),Doctors throughout the state of Tamilnadu today 11-1-08 carried out their duties wearing black badges.

It's extremely embarrasing to learn that such undesirable acts are on a rampant increase and has become a routine affair in a state which stands first in healthcare throughout the country.DASE urges the Govt to take necessary steps to curb the menace and protect Doctors.
